Mushroom Growing Workshop – Design Your Own Mushroom Growing Kit!
If you’re looking for a fun and educational activity that will expand your knowledge of the fascinating world of mushrooms, teach you how to grow them, and awaken your inner creator, then this workshop is for you!
Growing mushrooms doesn’t have to be difficult—in fact, it’s an easy and enjoyable process. Anyone can grow mushrooms, from preschoolers to grandparents, and share the excitement of watching their mushrooms grow.
What do we do in the mushroom growing workshop?
The workshop consists of two parts: theoretical and practical.
Theoretical Part:
- A brief introduction to mushrooms.
- Presentation of the main steps in mushroom growing.
Practical Part:
- Participants receive all necessary materials for growing mushrooms—buckets, substrate, sanitation tools—and choose their preferred mushroom species.
- They then go through the main steps of mushroom cultivation (essentially, planting their own mushrooms).
- Once the mushroom kit is prepared, it’s time to decorate it! Participants are encouraged to create a character and name for their mushroom, decorating it with stickers, colored markers, ribbons, paper, feathers, and more.
- Finally, participants receive printed instructions on how to care for and continue growing their mushrooms at home.
Workshop duration: Approximately 1.5 hours.
Where can the workshop take place? No special venue is required, but a table or several tables for the workspace are necessary.
All materials and tools needed for mushroom growing will be provided.
